Gavin Rossdale's Gay Fling Confession

Long rumored to have had a relationship with cross-dressing pop singer Marilyn real name Peter Robinson (born 3 November 1962), Gavin Rossdale (born 30 October 1965) has fessed up to a "one-time fling" during an interview with Details magazine.

Talk of the Rossdale/Marilyn hookup first came about in Boy George's autobiography titled “Take It Like A Man,” while Marilyn then dished about what he said was a 5-year romance with the Bush frontman in 1995.

Setting the record straight - although insiders say he's now regretting the move - Gavin explained of his decision to not address the situation sooner, saying, “I think at the outset there was a sort of fear – that was right at the beginning of Bush, and I didn’t want it to be part of it."

Denying that there was anything long-term in regards to his relations with Marilyn , Rossdale did admit, “When you’re 17, Jesus Christ. I don’t think there’s anything strange about any form of – you’re learning about life. You have to know what you like, and I know what I like.”

Meanwhile, an insider tells NY Daily News of Gavin and wife Gwen Stefani's current standing, dishing, "Gwen didn't know that Gavin and Marilyn
were actually involved. Gavin always said before that they were just friends, and that's what she believed, until Gavin had to tell her" due to his Details confession.

My own view on this is- if he was a straight man now saying he was gay most would be saying well done Gavin and be going over the top with praise.
forgetting about how Gwen would feel about that situation.
Gavin had a gay relationship when he was 17-so what.
he was hanging about with men like Marilyn and Boy George .
that's who he thought he was at that time!
we know he went on to produce a daughter with Pearl Lowe-Daisy Lowe (born 27 January 1989).and have romantic encounters with other women including Courtney Love.

I believe Gavin-

I think Gavin maybe getting this statement out now because of his boys. they are still young so all this gossip will not be affecting them.
and hopefully all the smutty and nasty remarks will stop by the time the boys do understand what people say.
