BUSH frontman-Gavin Rossdale & His Shopping Cuties

Gavin Rossdale and his sons Kingston, 4 and Zuma, 2, were spotted with their nanny at an Urban Outfitters store in Los Angeles on Wednesday (September 29).

At one point Gavin looked at a rack with a long black dress. Perhaps for wife Gwen Stefani?

The playful boys both wore khaki pants and tanks. Kingston especially was goofy, putting on sunglasses and showing off a few Spiderman temporary tattoos on his arms.

Maybe the most telling part of Bush's convincing comeback show at Saturday's Epicenter Festival in Fontana, CA, came during the bridge of the 1994 hit "Everything Zen," when frontman Gavin Rossdale detoured into lyrical bits from Talking Heads' "Once in a Lifetime." "You may ask yourself / Well, how did I get here?" he sang. "And you may tell yourself / This is not my beautiful house / This is not my beautiful wife...."

No, this was Rossdale's rock band — a reconstituted version, anyway — loud and proud. He might have asked himself some hard questions when considering re-forming his London-born quartet, but with his beautiful wife, Gwen Stefani, and two children in the wings on Saturday, Rossdale, original drummer Robin Goodridge, Chris Traynor (guitar), and Corey Britz (bass) roared through a hit-laden set as if grunge had never the left airwaves.

Bush's first major concert in eight years was one of several notable moments on a weekend when a record heat wave flat-out stole the show. The temperature at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, 45 minutes east of downtown Los Angeles, hit 109 degrees each day, and it felt hotter on the all-asphalt grounds at the festival, which drew just over 50,000 fans over two days. Faces were not the only things that melted.

Playing into a harsh sunset, Rossdale emerged in short sleeves and vest, his hair tied back. The vest was gone and the hair down by "Everything Zen," which followed openers "Machinehead" and "Little Things" and new song "Afterlife," the first single from Bush's upcoming album "Everything Always Now." Rossdale and mates seemed to be feeling their way early on — it could be they were just feeling the heat — but by the time the frontman clambered along the center barrier to greet fans, everything was in sync.

Earlier on the big stage was Bush, like Eminem another platinum-selling act making a return to live performing after a period of inaction. The reunited quartet opened with “Machinehead,” one of the band’s most recognizable hits, stretching out the opening riff before singer Gavin Rossdale began the harried lyrics: “Breathe in, breathe out….”

In 2010, Bush’s big, crisp grunge riffs are an unexpected novelty, in contrast to the ’90s, when Bush was sometimes lambasted for aping the sounds of Nirvana and others of the era. The band was a dependable hit-maker for much of that decade and later this year will return with a new album, “Everything Always Now.”

With his hair pulled back into a Samaria bun and three strips of orange reflective tape on the wrist of his strumming arm, Rossdale was at times explosive and at times reserved, shouting, “There’s no sex in your violence” during “Everything Zen.”

“It’s difficult to not play the new songs,” Rossdale said during a set built mostly of the familiar. But just as the band was to begin the grinding melody of its new single, “Afterlife,” the singer left the stage to walk along the edge of the barricade, reaching out to fans to get up-close and reacquainted.

Bush Made a Comeback Watched by Gwen Stefani

Gavin Rossdale performed at Epicenter Twenty Ten festival to treat fans with their popular hits while his wife and kids watched from the side stage

Rockers Bush reunited for a festival date supporting Eminem and KISS in California on Saturday, September 25 and resisted the urge to perform new songs. The British group's kids took in the set at the Epicenter Twenty Ten event - most had never seen dad perform with Bush, as the band split nine years ago.

Prior to releasing a new material and hitting the road, Gavin Rossdale's band treated fans to a 55-minute hits show at the Fontana, California festival. Rossdale and bandmates Robin Goodridge, Chris Traynor and Corey Britz hit the stage late in the afternoon on a baking hot California day and belted through fan favorites like "Glycerine", "Swallowed" and "Everything Zen".

Thrilled Rossdale, whose proud wife Gwen Stefani watched from the side of the stage with the couple's kids Zuma and Kingston, called the band's comeback concert "unbelievable". The new Bush album, "Everything Always Now", is due for release in October.

Night one of Epicenter of 2010 has so much for fans to look forward to, one of those being a reunion performance by one of the biggest ’90s alternative bands around: Bush! Their fans swarmed the stage in an attempt to get close to the British rockers and relive all their ’90s.

Gavin Rossdale emerged onstage ripping into the fan-fave “Machine Head” that officially dusted off their near decade dispersion from live performances. The crowd ate up every moment of the hour set of their trademark gloomy hits, singing along to every word.

Bush stuck with what they do best, playing to their strengths and keeping their set tight with well-known singles. This fueled their fans desire to nearly tear Rossdale apart limb for limb when the slick Brit-rocker made his way into the sea of rockhands during “Little Things.”

The band varied their usual tracks, adding a fresh take with an extended rock session during the heart-aching ”Swallowed” and even interjecting lyrics from the Talking Head‘s “Once in a Lifetime” during “Everything Zen.”

The highpoint of the night was the intimate solo rendition of “Glycerine” of just Rossdale, his guitar and wailing vocals. Eventually, the band rejoined him on stage to punch up the ending. They closed the night with a big “Come Down” as the sun finally set on the day, letting everyone enjoy some Bush until the sun goes down.
